SLEEMAN FAT BIKE CONTEST

1. Sponsor. The Sleeman smoker (“Contest”) is sponsored by Sleeman Breweries Ltd. (“Sponsor”).
2. Contest Period: The Contest will begin at 12:01 am ET on November 7th ,2022 (, and close at 11:59 PM ET on February 28th, 2023 (the “Contest Period”).
3. Prizes. There are ten (10) Prizes available to be won. Each Prize consists of a Borealis Fat Bike (ARV $3,500 each).
4. Chances of winning. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.
5. Conditions. The Contest is open to residents of Canada who are of legal drinking age in their province of residence at the time of entry. Notwithstanding the foregoing, the Contest is not open to: (a) employees, agents, or representatives of the Sponsor, and any business, company, fiduciary or other legal entity controlled by or affiliated with the Sponsor, their promotional agencies, the Prize supplier, as well as the immediate family members (brothers, sisters, children, parents) or spouses of the foregoing, or any person with whom the foregoing are domiciled; or (b) provincial liquor licenses and their employees.
6. Entry with purchase of one case of specially marked cases of Sleeman beer. An entry is made by completing and submitting an entry form, including the correct answer to a math skill-testing question, together with the PIN code from the specially marked case of Sleeman beer, at www.sleemancontest.ca.
7. No purchase entry. To participate in the Contest without purchasing a case of Sleeman beer, mail a legible, handwritten, original letter of at least one hundred (100) words explaining why you would like to win the Prize, accompanied by your name, age, address (including city or town and postal code), email address, and telephone number (with area code), to “Sleeman Fat Bike Sleeman Breweries, 4260 rue garand, Laval, QC H7L 5Z6. Upon validation of the letter, a PIN code will be sent to you which may be submitted to the contest website. You may submit one (1) letter per day during the Contest Period, with different text for each letter. Letters may be mailed until ten (10) days before the end of the Contest Period (see section 1 of these Contest Rules).
8. Awarding Prizes.
(a) A random draw will be held at approximately 2pm on March 3rd 2023, at the Sponsor’s offices. The selected Participant will be contacted by phone or email and will be informed of the procedure to claim the Prize. The selected Participant may be required to provide proof of age and to sign and return a waiver and release form within the time period required by the Sponsor.
(b) If the selected Participant (i) does not comply with these Contest rules; (ii) has not provided the correct answer to the skill-testing question; or (iv) does not claim the Prize according to section (a), or (iii) refuses the Prize, then the selected Participant may not be declared a winner.
9. Acceptance of Prize. Each Prize must be accepted as awarded and is not be subject to transfer, exchange or substitution for an award of cash or otherwise, except that the Sponsor reserves the right to substitute any Prize, in whole or in part, for another prize of equivalent or greater value if any Prize is not available for any reason whatsoever.
10. Contest Rules and Sponsor Decisions. By entering the Contest, entrants agree to abide by the Contest Rules and decisions of the Sponsor, which are final.
11. Indemnification. All Participants and all persons attempting to participate in the Contest hereby indemnify the following persons against any damage or loss they may sustain in connection with their participation in, or attempt to participate in, the Contest: the Sponsor and any business, company, or other legal entity controlled by or affiliated with the Sponsor, its promotional agencies, the participating retailers, the Prize supplier, as well as the employees, agents, and representatives of the foregoing.
12. Errors. Any PIN codes containing or presenting errors will be cancelled. Under no circumstances will the Sponsor be required to distribute more Prizes than indicated in these Contest Rules.
13. Right to Cancel, Suspend or Modify. Subject to the authorization of the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux du Québec (the “RACJ”) for Quebec residents, the Sponsor reserves the right to cancel, suspend or modify the Contest at any time, without notice, if a factor disrupts the proper conduct of the Contest, consistent with these Rules. Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, the Sponsor reserves the right to cancel the Contest in the case of error, particularly in production, distribution or printing, or the occurrence of any other event giving rise to claims exceeding the number of Prizes contemplated under these Rules.
14. Quebec. Any dispute regarding the organization or conduct of a promotional contest in Quebec may be submitted to the RACJ for a ruling. Any dispute regarding the awarding of a prize may be submitted to the RACJ for the sole purpose of attempting to reach a settlement.
15. Applicable Laws. These Contest rules are subject to all applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws.
