SLEEMAN GOLF CART CONTEST

1. Sponsor. The Sleeman Golf Cart Contest (“Contest”) is sponsored by Sleeman Breweries Ltd. (“Sponsor”).
2. Contest Period and Case Availability:
(a) Deadline for entry by residents of Québec is May 31, 2023. Specially Marked PIN Cases are available (while quantities last) from the beginning of March to the end of May 2023. Prize draw will take place on June 7, 2023.
(b) Deadline for entry by residents of Ontario, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island is July 14, 2023. Specially Marked PIN Cases are available (while quantities last) from the beginning of March to the end of June 2023 in Ontario, New Brunswick and Nova Scotia; and from May to mid-July 2023 in Prince Edward Island. Prize draw in all four provinces will take place on July 19, 2023.
3. Prizes. There are three (3) Prizes available to be won: one (1) Prize for Quebec residents, and two (2) Prizes for residents of other provinces. Each Prize consists of a Club Car Onward 48V golf cart (ARV $20,000 each). Golf cart may not be exactly as shown in Contest promotional materials. Cart and customization are based on available inventory at the time of the Prize Draw.
4. Chances of winning. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.
5. Eligibility and Conditions. The Contest is open to residents of Canada who are of legal drinking age in their province of residence at the time of entry. Notwithstanding the foregoing, the Contest is not open to: (a) employees, agents, or representatives of the Sponsor, and any business, company, fiduciary or other legal entity controlled by or affiliated with the Sponsor, their promotional agencies, the Prize supplier, as well as the immediate family members (brothers, sisters, children, parents) or spouses of the foregoing, or any person with whom the foregoing are domiciled (the “Contest Parties”); or (b) provincial liquor licensees and their employees.
The provincial liquor agencies are not connected with this Contest in any manner whatsoever, and are not liable in any way whatsoever with respect to any matter relating to this Contest.
6. Entry with purchase of one case of specially marked cases of Sleeman beer.
(a) Specially marked cases are available in Quebec, Ontario, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and PEI, while supplies last. See Contest Period and Case Availability in section 2 of these Contest Rules.
(b) An entry is made by completing and submitting an entry form, including the correct answer to a math skill-testing question, together with the PIN code from the specially marked case of Sleeman beer, at the applicable section of the www.sleemancontest.ca website (the “Contest Website”), according to province of residence (Quebec or other province as applicable; see section 2 of these Contest Rules).
7. No purchase entry. To participate in the Contest without purchasing a case of Sleeman beer, mail a legible, handwritten, original letter of at least one hundred (100) words explaining why you would like to win the Prize, accompanied by your name, age, address (including city or town and postal code), email address, and telephone number (with area code), to “Sleeman Golf Cart”, Sleeman Breweries, 551 Clair Road West, Guelph ON N1L 0H7. Upon validation of the letter, a PIN code will be sent to you which may be submitted to the Contest Website with your completed entry form and the correct answer to a math skill-testing question. You may submit one (1) letter to “Sleeman Golf Cart” per day, with different text for each letter. Letters may be mailed until ten (10) days before the end of the applicable “Enter By” date (Quebec or other province as applicable; see section 2 of these Contest Rules).
8. Prize Draw. Random draws will be done at the Sponsor’s offices at 551 Clair Road West, Guelph, Ontario N1L 0H7. The dates of each of these draws will be the “Prize Draw Date”.
(a) A random draw to select one (1) entry from entries submitted by residents of Quebec by the May 31, 2023 “Enter By” date (see section 2 of these Contest Rules) will be held at approximately 2:00 pm ET on June 7, 2023.
(b) A random draw to select two (2) entries from entries submitted by residents of provinces other than Quebec by the July 14, 2023 “Enter By” date (see section 2 of these Contest Rules) will be held at approximately 2:00 pm ET on July 19, 2023.
9. Selected Entries. The Sponsor or its designated representative will make a maximum of three (3) attempts to contact each selected entrant by email within three (3) business days of the applicable Prize Draw Date. If a selected entrant cannot be contacted within three (3) attempts or three (3) business days of the applicable Prize Draw Date (whichever occurs first), or if there is a return of any notification as undeliverable, then that selected entrant will be disqualified and will forfeit all rights to the Prize, and the Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion, to randomly select an alternate eligible entrant from among the remaining eligible Entries, in which case the provisions of this section shall apply to such new selected entrant.
Before being declared a winner of the Prize, the selected entrant will be required to sign and return, by the date indicated by the Sponsor or its designate, the Sponsor’s declaration and release form, which (among other things):
(a) confirms compliance with these Rules;
(b) acknowledges acceptance of the Prize as awarded;
(c) releases the Contest Parties and each of their respective officers, directors, agents, representatives, successors and assigns (collectively, the “Released Parties”) from any and all liability in connection with this Contest, the selected entrant’s participation therein and/or the awarding and use/misuse of the Prize or any portion thereof; and
(d) agrees to the publication, reproduction and/or other use of the selected entrant’s name, city of residence, voice, statements about the Contest and/or image without further notice or compensation, in any publicity or advertisement carried out by the Sponsor in any manner whatsoever, including print, broadcast or online.
If a selected entrant fails to satisfy the above requirements within the specified time, then he/she will be disqualified and will forfeit all rights to the Prize, and the Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion, to randomly select an alternate eligible entrant from among the remaining eligible Entries for the applicable Prize Draw Date, in which case the foregoing provisions of this section shall apply to such new selected entrant.
10. Prize Conditions. The following general conditions apply to each Prize:
(a) Winner will be responsible to make any arrangements required, and for any related costs, to obtain the Prize from the supplier.
(b) Winner will be responsible for all costs and expenses related to the vehicle, including but not limited to, licensing, insurance, any applicable taxes, and operating, repair and maintenance costs.
(c) Prize must be accepted as awarded, may not be assigned, and is not transferable or convertible to cash. No substitutions except at Sponsor’s option, in its sole discretion.
(d) Sponsor reserves the right at any time to place reasonable restrictions on the availability or use of the Prize or any component thereof and substitute the Prize or a component thereof for any reason with a prize or a prize component of equal or greater value, including, without limitation, but solely at the Sponsor’s sole discretion, a cash award.
(e) Sponsor makes no representation and offers no warranty, express or implied, as to the quality or fitness of the Prize.
(f) If the winner does not utilize any part(s) of the Prize, then any such part(s) not utilized will be forfeited in its (their) entirety and nothing will be substituted in its (their) place.
(g) By accepting the Prize, the winner agrees to waive all recourse against the Released Parties if the Prize or a component thereof does not prove satisfactory, either in whole or in part.
11. Contest Rules and Sponsor Decisions. By entering the Contest, entrants agree to abide by the Contest Rules and decisions of the Sponsor, which are final.
12. Indemnification. All Participants and all persons attempting to participate in the Contest hereby indemnify the following persons against any damage or loss they may sustain in connection with their participation in, or attempt to participate in, the Contest: the Sponsor and any business, company, or other legal entity controlled by or affiliated with the Sponsor, its promotional agencies, the participating retailers, the Prize supplier, as well as the employees, agents, and representatives of the foregoing.
13. Errors. Any PIN codes containing or presenting errors will be cancelled. Under no circumstances will the Sponsor be required to distribute more Prizes than indicated in these Contest Rules.
14. Right to Cancel, Suspend or Modify. Subject to the authorization of the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux du Québec (the “RACJ”) for Quebec residents, the Sponsor reserves the right to cancel, suspend or modify the Contest at any time, without notice, if a factor disrupts the proper conduct of the Contest, consistent with these Rules. Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, the Sponsor reserves the right to cancel the Contest in the case of error, particularly in production, distribution or printing, or the occurrence of any other event giving rise to claims exceeding the number of Prizes contemplated under these Rules.
15. Quebec. Any dispute regarding the organization or conduct of a promotional contest in Quebec may be submitted to the RACJ for a ruling. Any dispute regarding the awarding of a prize may be submitted to the RACJ for the sole purpose of attempting to reach a settlement.
16. Applicable Laws. These Contest rules are subject to all applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws.
